the blooms are dense and wonderful.
I have taken a couple dozen shots of blooms in the last 9 or 10 days – mostly pink – but your tree looks enormous and old.
just curious as to how old this giant feeling tree is? do you know?

    1. Hi, Yvette 🙂
I didn’t get any nice shots of the pink ones this spring either – don’t really know why. I’m not sure how old the tree is, but it’s not a very large one. Passing under the lower branches requires bending 😉 . But it looked beautiful, covered in white like that.

      1. Oh – so you bent! ha! well the image feels massive and like we could be under an old gem.
        and really nice for dense.
when we went to south carolina at the end of March – we did not expect to see the blooms in full – so we enjoyed all the color -and then drove back home – north – to have our blooms just emerging – felt like a treat with extra blooms.
even though my snowball bush has extra small blooms this year – maybe it needs some fertilizing….

        1. Bending was involved 😉 and looking slightly ridiculous in order to take photos 🙂 I think it’s the fact that I rotated the photo that makes it look more impressive.
But what a treat for you, to enjoy the blooms twice, to have them waiting for you back home.

          1. well glad you got the shot.
and I realized that most of my road trips south were in fall, summer or winter- but not spring.
have been going back and forth since 89 – and hardly ever in spring – that is weird….

  2. What a stunning photo of the blossoms!
I’m reminded of when Anne (Anne of Green Gables) first encounters “the White Way of Delight” and proclaimed it “The first thing I ever saw that couldn’t be improved upon by imagination.”
    Thank you for sharing!!
