Freedom (Fragment 1)

The inheritance was the desperately needed answer. However, the question only dared word itself the moment I found the solution. Of course my first impulse was to flee. For so long, I had dreamt of seeing and experiencing places without having to tailor my desires in order to fit a schedule, a person or financial considerations. But the truth is, it’s never as simple as that – seeing places is one and the same with seeing and interacting with people, in all their pathetic stances.

The phantasy was a rather simple one… in theory. But practically speaking, it was far too complex, untouchable, unattainable… who knows, perhaps even undesirable.
