Not Quite The Season, And Yet…

It’s been a while… but here I am, once again able to breathe a satisfied sigh of relief as I am finally completing another writing project. Hmm… that might translate in actually having enough time to occasionally post more than a photo here and there.

Anyway… the initial plan was to finish working on this project as soon as possible, but publish the book towards the end of the year… for obvious reasons. Then, of course, I changed my mind. I blame it partly on that compulsive side of me – once I start something, I have to see it through – and partly on the time of year. Late spring, early summer… I always get restless around this time and I feel the need for something new. So in an attempt to avoid shaking things up too much, this year I’m publishing a novel.

With all those decorations stored away and that season still months away, I must be among the very few thinking of the winter holidays right now. And yet, here I am, telling you about the third and final book in my Christmas Reunion series. On the other hand, although the action takes place on the holidays in a lovely mountain inn, the focus is mainly on friendship and the evolution of various romantic relationships within a group of old friends; so this, together with a mixture of light fun incidents and in-depth probing of the characters’ past might make it an interesting beach read. You don’t need to read the previous books in the series in order for this one to make sense, but in case you have, you might enjoy finding out more about the characters’ background and the early days of their friendship.

For the time being, Christmas Reunion – Book 3 is available only on Amazon, so if the following synopsis piques your interest, stop by and take advantage of the off-season price. Happy reading!

A Christmas wedding at Edelweiss Inn may sound like the romantic ending of a fairy tale; but for Sandra and her lifelong friends, it becomes a sequence of uncomfortable and often hilarious incidents which reveal true feelings and redefine connections. Will Dana and Felix get married after all? Are relationships what they seem to be and can friendship survive the trials of Christmas and a wedding?

At the root of present conflicts are past events, and a variety of colourful incursions in the characters’ childhood and youth reveals the reasons behind their behaviour, helping them heal and grow.

The third and last book in the series captures the group of friends from a deeper, more mature perspective, despite their trademark romantic games and inevitably dramatic clashes. Whether read on its own or following the first two novels, it is ultimately about the love, understanding and generosity uniting a less than conventional group of friends who rely on each other on their path to growth, romance and true intimacy.
